Best Money Saving Ideas
An interesting read I found. Albert Einstein said it takes a genius to see the obvious – this are simple, but effective money saving ideas. Click HERE for full article. I’ll summarize it below:
- Keep a daily log of EVERYTHING you spend – use a notepad, your I-Phone, a sticky-note
- Use Cash – Dave Ramsey & Clark Howard suggest using separate envelopes of cash – once you run out, you’re done spending. It’s too easy to run up a credit card debt – it doesn’t feel like real money.
- Clean House – search through the house; sell everything you don’t need. Use a garage sale, eBay, or donate
- Pay Your Self First – make savings a priority! Put away savings before you spend for the month
- Get Organized – around the house, with your budget, at your desk. The more organized you are the less stress you feel. Research shows just writing things down makes you more productive
- Measure your success – your success is really your “progress”. No one is “perfect” & we can’t reach the ideal. Measure yourself from where you were last year / month – and ask yourself “am I making progress”. That’s the key to success.
Some good ideas here. I’m sure you could make your own Top-10 list of money saving ideas; feel free to share. Remember, you can’t predict the future, but you can plan for it!
